The Art Of Detachment…

Most people grow up naturally knowing how to attach to things.

Most cases it’s either their parents, siblings or a significant other.

Alot of people don’t know we can attach to ourselves as well.

Usually that’s everybody’s first because that’s how ego is formed.

Ego has it’s own thoughts, emotions and actions.

Since we attach to the ego we also inherit it’s thoughts, emotions and actions.

We may start to believe we are ego itself when we become to attached.

That attachment causes lots of problems when sudden detachment occurs.

For an example a heartbreak or a loss of someone in your life.

It’s the ego that was created through the attachment which then dies after detachment.

When the ego dies the emotions register in our awareness.

Which is why we feel the sadness or fear of the ego once detachment occurs.

The same also happens when the ego is created and vice versa happens.

Once we become aware of the effects of attachment and detachment to other people.

We are able to see how it effects us through attachment and detachment from the self.

Detachment from self allows one to sit back and observe the thoughts, emotions and actions of the ego.

Allowing a broader and wider perspective on life in general.

You start to realize you are not the thoughts, emotions and actions of the ego.

You are just the awareness of them.

It’s like when your playing a video game for too long then you finally get off and realize you were the one controlling the character and not the character itself.

That is when you have mastered the art of detachment.
